Lying just west of Thailand, Laos, and China is the untouched gem of Southeast Asia, Myanmar. Come join Adventure Asia to explore the hidden wonders of this historically and culturally rich country. The adventure will explore the colonial city of Yangon, the historical city of Bagan, as well as beautiful Mandalay. Cruise along the Irrawaddy River and explore the glorious Inle Lake. This tour will take you to best of the urban areas and natural wonders that Myanmar has to offer; eating lots of good food, shopping through the markets, and learning about the history and culture that make Myanmar unique along the way!

Day 1: Yangon
Meals: Dinner
Itinerary: On the first day, guests will arrive in Yangon where they will be met by their guide and brought to their hotel for check-in. At 6:00pm, guests will meet together for an introductory meeting in order to get to know each other before all of the excitement begins!
Overnight stay in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon | Mandalay
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: This morning, after a yummy breakfast, guests will set out to explore the Shwedagon Pagoda and the surrounding temples. After this adventure, guests will travel to the airport where they will hop on a plane for a quick flight to the city of Mandalay. Upon arrival, guests will travel to the top of Mandalay Hill to watch the sunset.

Day 3: Mandalay | Mingun
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: Today guests will depart early for a boat trip to Mingun to visit the world’s largest pagoda, the world’s largest unbroken bell, and all of the surrounding ancient temples. This visit will be followed by lunch at a local monastery and some more exploring. In the evening, guests will watch the gorgeous sunset over the famously long U Bein teakwood bridge.

Day 4: Mingun | Ayeyarwady River
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: On the fourth day, guests will guests will enjoy a lovely cruise down the famous Ayeyarwady River. Cruise through rural fishing villages and learn a little bit about the importance of the river for the people of Myanmar, especially the ones who live on the river’s banks.
Overnight stay onboard the riverboat.
Day 5: Ayeyarwady River | Bagan
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: Early this morning, the boat will dock in beautiful Bagan. After checking into the hotel, guests will travel to the local market as well as the quiet and peaceful plains nearby which happen to be spotted with over 4000 ancient religious relics. In the evening, guests will watch yet another gorgeous sunset over the city’s ruins.

Day 6: Bagan
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: Guests will have a free day today in which they can explore the city of Bagan more thoroughly. Wander the streets, visit more of the markets, climb Mount Popa, or even take a hot air balloon ride! There are so many options for a fun-filled day in Bagan, take full advantage!

Day 7: Bagan | Inle Lake
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: Early this morning, guests will fly to Heho and, from Heho, they will travel by car through the gorgeous countryside to Inle Lake. Upon arrival at the lake, guests will transfer to longboat to travel to their waterside resort where they will have the rest of the afternoon to relax by the pool.

Day 8: Inle Lake
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: Today, guests will set out, by boat, to explore the many wonders of Inle Lake. Fr0m the floating gardens to the local fishing villages in which the fishermen are known for the way the row with their legs. Guests will also visit a pagoda and a famous monastery that plays host to a number of rare cats. Dinner will be served back at the hotel, where guests will have the rest of the evening to relax.

Day 9: Inle Lake
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: Today guests will visits a stilted village. Our boat will allow us to drift through the homes and the shops. Passing the many Indein boats that are selling their goods directly from the water. A wonderful picnic lunch awaits in the woods nearby and, afterwards, guests will head back to the hotel to relax and enjoy a lovely dinner.
Overnight stay on Inle Lake.
Day 10: Inle Lake | Yangon
Meals: Breakfast
Itinerary: Sadly, the tenth day marks the end of our tour through the amazing country of Myanmar. Guests will say their goodbyes, pack their bags, and travel back to Yangon to continue on to their next destination. Adventure Asia will miss you!
