Enjoy six full days of trekking, driving, and adventuring through the beautiful landscapes in this area of the country stopping along the way to give guests countless authentic cultural experiences. Day 1: Hanoi | Mai Chau | Son La
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: Guests will leave Hanoi early on the first morning of the tour. They will travel through the Red River Delta before stopping in Mai Chau for a quick hike before driving to Son La.
Overnight stay in Son La.
Day 2: Son La | Dien Bien Phu
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: In the morning, guests will have time to explore the French prison and museum in Son La before departing for Dien Bien Phu, a famous battle field between the USA and Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Along the way, guests will pass through picturesque scenery and through several tribal villages.
Overnight stay in Dien Bien Phu.
Day 3: Dien Bien Phu | Lai Chau
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: On the third day guests will travel from Dien Bien Phu through Muong Lay and the gorgeous tea plantations and rice terraces in the area to Lai Chau, where they will spend the evening. If guests are lucky, they will experience the bustling Sunday morning tribal market in Lau Chau.
Overnight stay in Lai Chau.
Day 4: Lai Chau | Sa Pa
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: Today, guests are in for a real treat! As they travel through the mountains to Sa Pa, guests will see what is considered to be the most beautiful stretch of road in Vietnam, Tram Ton Pass. Sa Pa is located high up in the Hoang Lien Son Mountain Range and, after lunch, guests will take a 3 hour trek down through a valley below to Ta Van village for a wonderful homestay among the beautiful rice terraces.

Day 5: Sa Pa | Ban Ho
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: Guests will enjoy a busy fifth day of their fun-filled tour. Today, the tour will trek along rice terraces and through lovely bamboo forests and local villages to see authentic examples of how Vietnam operates outside of huge cities like Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. After a picnic lunch, the trek will lead everyone into Ban Ho where guests will stay with Tay hosts in a wonderfully cozy loft.
Overnight stay in Ban Ho.
Day 6: Ban Ho | Sa Pa
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Itinerary: This morning, guests will trek a short distance to a jeep that will bring them back to Sa Pa. Guests will then have the afternoon free to explore Sa Pa and its wonderful markets before taking a night train back to Hano where the tour will come to an end.
Overnight train to Hanoi.
