Descriptions: Travel to Cambodia and experience the world-famous ruins of Angkor listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a horse cart ride through the rural villages of Siem Reap. We ride and hop on and hop off a former US Military Jeep. Then board a private boat tour on the large freshwater lake Tonle Sap and learn about life on the lake.

Day 1 :Siem Reap
Activities: Angkor Jeep Tour, local Tuk-tuk ride & Cultural Show/Performance
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Itinerary: After breakfast, we visit a jewel of the Khmer empire, Ta Prohm, by your private US army jeep. The 12th-century Buddhist temple was in the 2001 film, TOMB RAIDER. The main attraction is the remarkable gigantic trees and vegetation growing through the ruins. Then to Ta Nei temple, one of the lesser visited temples within the Angkor site. Then we explore the romantic temple mountain of Ta Keo and enjoy the cool fresh air and stunning views from the top floor of the temple. Before the lunch break, we will visit an arts organization, meet local artisans and perhaps participate in a traditional pottery class. Lunch break
Afternoon. Start your honeymoon tour by Tuk Tuk to the city of Angkor Thom and the huge Bayon temple. We start at the South Gate of Angkor Thom and explore the beautiful 54 statues of Gods and Demons that face each side of the walkway. This leads to the entry gate where you can take photos of the impressive faces of Buddhistatva Lokesvara (future of Buddha. Then to the tremendous multi-towered temple of the Bayon. Fifty-four gargantuan heads that depict the king as a Bodhisattva, (Buddhist deity of compassion) are among the most attractive sculptures in Angkor Thom From here we go on foot to visit the Baphoun, a temple mountain with a steep stairway to its peak. After we continue to the nearby Royal Palace, Phimean Akas and see the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. These remarkable temples offer a startling insight into the beauty and power of the Angkorian era. In the evening, dinner and attend a traditional Cambodian dance performance.

Day 2 : Siem Reap. Angkor Wat
Activities: Angkor Wat, Horse Cart Ride, Floating Village and Spa
Meals: Breakfast &Dinner
Itinerary: We rise early and are picked up from the hotel at 4.45AM to catch the beautiful sunrise at Angkor Wat. One of the wonders of the ancient world it was erected before 1150 AD and represents one of the most dramatic structures ever built. From the back of this monument through the tropical jungle we slowly see the magnificent ruin with its shrines emerge. It is the most famous and best preserved of all the temples within the Angkor complex. It is said to have taken nearly 40 years to build The beautiful Bas Relief carvings on the smooth walls are from the golden age of the Khmer empire dating from 9th to the 15th centuries. Today Angkor is the symbol of the Kingdom of Cambodia and its towers appear on the national flag of the country. Back to hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, we travel to see the countryside of Cambodia by horse cart! Through many villages not visited by tourists where you can interact with locals if you wish. Activities are more relaxed in the afternoon. We will tour the Tonle Sap Lake, South East Asia’s largest freshwater lake. It swells to about four times its size during the wet season! We will board a long-tail boat and visit isolated communities of village houses built on stilts, “floating villages”. In the evening enjoy a private relaxing massage at one of the best spas in the city, the Bodia Spa and Massage, Then a candlelight dinner at a local traditional house.

Day 3 :Siem Reap Rolous Group Temples - Banteay Srey - Siem Reap
Activities: Siem Rep Angkor, Banteay Srey, and the Monks Blessing!
Meals: Breakfast
Itinerary: Today we have a leisurely picnic lunch at some of the lesser known ruins called the Rolous Group. This is near the former capital of Angkor called Hariharalaya. We will visit the old ruins of Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei and stop at a monastery for the Monks Blessing for a safe journey back home. Also, we will also take an oxen cart tour through the village school for children.
Afternoon. We explore an architectural “gem” of the Angkor area, the pretty temple of Banteay Srey Srei. It is constructed of pink sandstone and known as the “Citadel of the Women”. It remains the best-preserved temple in Cambodia. After we’ll stop at local communities where our guide will help us to learn about their way of life.

Day 4 :Siem Reap - Village tour - Cultural Activities- Balloon ride
Activities: Cooking Class, school, village touring and a scenic balloon ride!
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and dinner
Itinerary: This morning, we tour on roads less traveled to visit nearby local communities and see a local School where the children learn English. Funds from your tour will go directly to the school and families providing the services. Activities include walking through the village and participating in the cooking of lunch or being involved in farming or harvesting activities (depending on the season). Afterward, transfer back to Siem Reap for short break.
Later in the afternoon we take a balloon ride and drift over the Angkor Wat temple complex for some splendid views. Dinner at a local restaurant with a romantic setting.

Day 5 :Siem Reap - Banteay Chmar
Activities: Banteay Chhmar Camping or Home stay
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner
Itinerary: After breakfast in our hotel we check out and drive to Banteay Chmar, a hidden treasure of Cambodia. Founded in the late 12th century by Jayavaraman VII and dedicated to his son who was killed Cham army during the Cham wars. The temple disappeared completely and has been rediscovered only recently. This is the most isolated place in Cambodia but with an imposing array of monuments and one of the largest Khmer temples that we know of.
Dinner at a romantic setting near the temple.
Overnight stay at the camp or Home-stay.
Day 6: Banteay Chmar - Siem Reap
Activities: Transfer to Siem Reap
Meals: Breakfast
Itinerary: After breakfast at the Home-stay, we return to Siem Reap for our own activities. Sadly we say good-bye wishing you a safe journey home and hope to see you again.
