The Kingdom of Wonder!
Cambodia is home to the world-famous Angkor Wat temple complex, lush tropical jungles, beautiful mountains, stunning beaches, waterfalls, islands, and “The Paris of the East” – Phnom Penh.

Angkor Wat

Angkor Wat is the main reason why people come to visit Cambodia. It’s the largest religious monument ever built, and you’ll be amazed at the size of the structure. It takes a few hours just to walk around the structure and back again.

You’ll also see the other temples at Angkor. Bayon temple is famous for the many faces which look down on you from towers. Ta Prohm has the jungle growing through the middle of the structure and is famous for being the filming location for part of one of the Tomb Raider movies.

Cambodia is home to thousands of beautiful temples both Hinduism and Buddhism which were established during the rich its peak from 12-15 centuries. Wood, Stone, Mountain rocks were used for art carvings where those still exist around and in Angkor temples.

Almost every tourism destination and around Cambodia, you can see different art school and work by young Cambodian talented craftsman, some of them graduated from School of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh. When you are in Siem Reap you love to see Art School and Work Shop at Artisand Angkor and walk around the old quarter where plenty of art gallery available from morning till did night.

Battambang &Surroundings 

Battambang is Cambodia’s second largest city. It’s a sleepy city near the Thai border in the north west of the country. You can visit temples and mountains such as Ek Phnom, Phnom Banan, Phnom Sampeou. The town is famous for being a creative place with many performers such as singers, musicians, artists. The city is also the birthplace of the famous Phare Circus.

Beaches

If you’re looking for beaches, then Sihanoukville is the place to be. There are many beaches but the most popular ones include Ochheuteal, Otres, Serendipity, Victory and Independence beaches. You can sit in the tropical sun in swim in the calm waters off the coast of Sihanoukville. The beaches are popular destinations for families.

Ballooning

 What better way to the see Angkor Wat in all its pomp and splendor, than like a bird.  The most  popular trip, is a short trip over the Angkor temple area either sunrise or sunset.

Biking & Cycling 

You can rent a bicycle for as little as a dollar a day. Mix in with locals, who use the bicycle as popular means of transport. Biking and cycling is an ideal way to discover Cambodia and get an accurate impression of the Khmer culture. off the beaten track into the heart of the country.

There are plenty of mountain bike trekking trips all over the country, all suited to whatever level of fitness, and how much one wants to explore.

Boxing & Martial Arts 

Battambang is the heartland of Khmer sport of kickboxing, and many of Cambodia’s most serious contenders hail from the province. The sport is equally popular in neighboring Thailand, where it is known as “muay thai,” or Thai kickboxing. Plenty of venues to take in a match. 

Camping

Travelling to Asia the guests may love adventure. Take a moment to think about how to escape from the crowds, heat and commercial city.  Asia has many things to see and to do to be more fun. Spend overnight stay in the camp at many camp sites through each country. Canoeing & Kayaking

Cooking Classes

Cooking classes are very popular in Cambodia. Visitors can learn how to cook classic Cambodian cuisine. You’ll be taken to the markets where you’ll buy the things you need for the kitchen. You’ll then be taught how to prepare the ingredients and cook them using traditional methods. You can take these skills home with you to impress your friends.

Circus (Phare Ponleu Selpak)

Phare circus is mixed martial and modern art performance with wide rang of amazing very evening show and performance that performed by former poor and social status background who had been trained NGO art school,  Phare Ponleu Selpak  in Battambang. Founded by a former Cambodian refugee who left Cambodian during the difficult time under Khmer Rouge in the purpose of helping young poor talent Cambodian away from  child labor and any type of tracking…

Diving

Diving is available all year round in Sihanoukville and on the islands off the coast. It’s best to go swimming in the dry season when the ocean is calmer and more suitable for diving, but many dive companies operate throughout the year. 

Cambodia is positively known  rare aqua life,such as nudi-branches and seahorses, the flounder, the vibrant horned starfish. Indian Walkman, or Devil Stinger nine-armed starfish. 

Elephant Trekking

This huge and friendly animal will bring you around the ancient capital of Khmer Empire, Angkor Wat, up the hills or through streams and evergreen jungles of Cambodia. Sample an elephant trek through the forests in Mondulkiri in Cambodia. Be part of a mahmout that take care of the elephants. Treks are mainly done in the eastern provinces.

Festivals

Cambodians love to celebrate, and they have many festivals throughout the year. Festivals don’t just last for one day either, most will last for three days. Khmer New Year happens around April and is the most important of all the festivals. Families come together and visit the pagoda and makes parties at home. The Pchum Ben festival is also a busy festival with families remembering their dead ancestors. The water festival is a fun time of the year which signifies the end of the low season and the upcoming harvest.

Fishing

Fish is part of the staple diet in Cambodia, so where you have a need there must be a catch! Whether it be on the water of the Tonle – sap or on the meandering Mekong, there is always plenty of opportunity to go and fish.

Here are some of the varieties you may cat, dependent on experience; Mekong Redtail Catfish, Asian Catfish, Mekong Spot Catfish,  Snakehead, Toman, Tilapia and Giant Catfish from the lake.

Golfing

Nick Faldo designed Angkor Golf Resort in Siem Reap and began welcoming golfers to what many think is not only the finest course in Cambodia, but also one of the best in the SE Asian region. Royal Cambodia Phnom Penh Golf Club is only five miles from the capital city and, being the most convenient course to Phnom Penh, it is the favorite of key dignitaries and executives

Gun Shooting

For a true adrenaline kick, feel the excitement of shooting some guns such as AK-47, M-16, Russian Burp Machine Guns, Dragunov and Uzi.  There are always qualified instructors there to assist you an. D for safety reason. Once you have fired off your weapons of choice, you may keep your  target hit paper as a souvenir.

There are two ranges, one in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh.

Helicopter touring

One of the activities you might not miss is the Helicopter tour, the scenic view touring over the ancient monuments of Angkor, plus Angkor Wat, the Bayon, Taprom and others nearby. Also extension fights over the largest fresh water lake, Tonle Sap. The most convenient way is hiring the private flight to at interested destinations you love to explore.

Horse Cart Rides

Horse cart rides are available all throughout Myanmar and in Siem Reap Angkor Cambodia and are a fun and unique way to travel.  Hop into the back of one of the carts and ride out of the cities and into the countryside to see the beautiful landscapes that surround the urban areas.

Kampot

Kampot is an old fishing town on the river which is famous for the pepper plantations. Kampot pepper is available throughout the world and it’s exclusively produced in Kampot province. You can also go to see Bokor Mountain with the winding road all the way to the top.

You can also explore the town which is a wonderful mix of French-style colonial buildings and traditional Cambodian structures. Kampot is growing quickly as a popular tourist destination for visitors and one not to be missed.

Kep

Kep is a small fishing village on the sea and it’s known for its seafood and tropical islands. Th small town is wonderful t explore, the calm waters make swimming a pleasure, and the long promenades make it comfortable to walk, especially in the evenings with the cool sea-breeze.

Khmer Dancing (Apsara Dance/Show)

Khmer classical dance was given birth more than 1,000 years ago, Khmer dancers have been performing their dance to world as the dace was connecting and living bridges between heaven and earth.

Home stays and cultural activities

Homestays are a once in a lifetime experience and will give you great insight into the culture and customs of these people.

Kratie is a small town located on the Mekong River. It’s best known for the Irrawaddy dolphins where their dwindling population has put them on the endangered species list. They call a small place near Kampi village their home.

There’s a lot of colonial architecture to see and the town offers some great views of the river. The surrounding countryside Is also lush and thick with green paddy fields, particularly in the rainy season.

Mountains

There are mountains dotted all over the country and a few mountain ranges. The most sacred spot in Cambodia is considered to be Phnom Kulen in the Dangrek Mountain Range. The Caramom Mountains are also a popular place to visit.

Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh is the capital city of Cambodia and a unique place to visit. There’s no other city on earth like Phnom Penh and people generally fall in love with the relaxed yet seemingly chaotic environment. There are many things to see and do in Phnom Penh including visiting Wat Phnom, the National Museum, the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda, S-21 Prison, or the Killing Fields.

You have to visit Phnom Penh at least once, just to see how the traffic gets around the town. You’ll never have seen anything like it before in your life.

Ream National Park

Ream national park is an incredible place in Cambodia. You’ll find lots of wildlife living in this protected area and it’s wonderful to see all the animals and birds who call the park home. The park is lush and green and covers more than 200 sq km of land including the coast, beaches, corals, mangroves, and forests.

Royal Palace

The Royal Palace in Phnom Penh is a must-see attraction if you head to the capital city. It’s the current home of the king, but parts of the palaces vast grounds have been opened to the public. You can also go to see the Silver Pagoda which, before the Khmer Rouge, was home to an entire floor made of silver. Today, you can see a small portion of silver which still remains.

ATV/Quad biking

For people who enjoy getting wet and muddy and have a thrill at the same time, quad biking maybe just the ticket. Plenty of opportunities in all major places to cruise off road through villages, jungle and rice paddies. An adventure for all the family to enjoy. Shopping & Markets

If you looking to go shopping then you’ll want to head to Phnom Penh. You can pick up a bargain in one of the many markets such as the Phsar Thmei or the Russian Market. Both have lots of cheap goods for sales and you can pick up a real bargain. There are also modern shopping centers such as the Aeon Mall.

Siem Reap

Siem Reap is the gateway to Angkor Wat and it’s where you’ll stay when you go to visit the temples. There’s more to Siem Reap than just temples. You can also visit the cultural village, butterfly center, landmine museum, war museum, Angkor National museum, floating villages, beautiful countryside and a lot more.

Millions of people descend on the small town each year to see the temples and leave falling in love with Siem Reap.

Tonle Sap Lake

The great Tonle Sap lake is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia and you can see lots of wildlife in the area. The lake is great for fishing and full of all different kinds of fish. Bird watchers will enjoy a visit to the Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary Biosphere. Or you can visit one of the floating villages which sit on top of the great lake. Locals have made the water their home. In the dry season, you’ll see homes sitting on top of large stilts which sit just above the water when the area floods in the wet season.

Trekking/Hiking

For those in need of kick ass adrenaline thumping fun packed days, Cambodia has it all from kayaking, mountain biking, elephant trekking, dirt biking, quad bikes, zip lining and army jeeping. This country has natural and man-made wonders, exotic destinations and friendly people. Vineyard

Prasat Phnom Banan Winery, located in Battambang,  is a must do for wine aficionados, not because of the quality but because of the novelty. The family that owns the place decided to start a winery with no previous experience with viticulture, using imported vines from the US, Australia, and France. They don’t do things strictly by the book and manage to get three harvests a year from their vineyard. Their red wine is a mix of Shiraz, Cabernet, brandy, and grape juice. It’s the only winery in Cambodia. The owners are incredibly friendly, and wine tastings are only $3. You will leave with a smile on your face and certainly memories of a distinct winery!

 Volunteering

Give back to the beautiful – poor countries of Cambodia by volunteering with one of the many different volunteer programs on offer.  Teach English, care for the children, or help to build a home or a school for the local families, sponsor water well and clean water filters, more volunteer and humanitarian project to offer…..They will be grateful forever and you will always have this special memory!

Wall Climbing & Rock Climbing

When travelling south, along the beautiful coastal line of Cambodia, you may in cooperate your adventure which is not to be missed. The Rock Climbing in kampot at Phnom Kbal Romeas of Cambodia is scene and on the rise, with a climbing club, climbing site and climbing gym in Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville.

At rock climbing is  on offer is caving, abseiling. The picturesque site at Phnom Kbal Romeas, five kilometers from Kampot town, offers panoramic views of the ocean, lush green rice fields and red clay roads.

Yoga

For those wanting to reconnect with one’s true self, and keeping oneself balanced and healthy  there is literally a plethora of classes when it comes to meditation and yoga. Best to look Yoga in different classes that available  in advance to find something suited to your taste and desires.
